Lora, CVT - Head Technician
Lora graduated from North Dakota State University in May 2001 with a B.S. in Veterinary Technology and a minor in microbiology. She joined the team at the Brooklyn Park Pet Hospital in July 2003 after 2 years of experience out of state.
Lora’s special interest is surgical nursing and in her free time she enjoys a good book or movie, scrapbooking, spending time with her family and friends, and searching for the perfect purse (in pink of course). Spending time with her husband Casey, son Aidan and with a baby on the way, she always keeps busy.
She is pictured with her cat “Maycie” and Shih Tzu “Calla”.
Jodie, CVT
Jodie began her career as a technician intern here at the hospital in March 1999. Upon graduation from the Medical Institute of Minnesota in June 1999, she came on staff full time.
In her spare time she enjoys camping, gardening and most importantly spending time with her daughter Emma and son Liam. Jodie has two cats, “Jonah” and “Swizzle”. Due to extreme phobias of cat carriers and car rides, they decided to stay safely at home on picture day. Instead, hospital greeter, “Rosie” jumped in and is pictured with her.
Lori, CVT
Lori graduated from Purdue University in 1983 with a Veterinary Technology degree. Since graduating, Lori has worked in small animal medicine as a technician in Indiana, Illinois, New Mexico and Minnesota. She even did a full-time stint at the Albuquerque Zoo for four months.
She joined the staff in November of 2001 as the only part-time CVT. Besides her work at BPPH she enjoys scrapbooking, writing, horseback riding and supporting her children's various activities. She currently presides over the parent band volunteers called "Buffalo Band Aides" for the HERD.
She is pictured with “Peanut” and "Tucker", a few of her many pets.
Kari, CVT
Kari did her internship in Inver Grove Heights and graduated from Argosy University in January 2006. She joined the team at the Brooklyn Park Pet Hospital in February 2006
In her spare time Kari likes spending time with her husband, traveling, shopping, outdoor activities and scrapbooking.
She is pictured with her two Terrier Mix dogs "Wall-e" and "Larry". She also has 3 cats, “Iggy”, "Trinity" and "Lilly”.
April, CVT
April graduated from Globe College in March 2006 with an Associates degree in Veterinary Technology. She is originally from North Dakota; moving to Minnesota / Wisconsin when she was a teenager. April lives in Hudson, WI with her husband, Barry, son Owen and daughter Madison. She is pictured with her Black Lab Mix “Polly”; she also has a cat “Snickers”.
April joined the BPPH family in April 2007. Her bubbly personality has been a wonderful addition and fits right in our staff.
April loves fishing and camping.
